Our recent styled shoot at the Idaho State Capitol in downtown Boise was all about infusing a traditional setting with the magic and beauty of a grand celebration.
The Idaho State Capitol, with its Classical-inspired design, sandstone exterior from Table Rock, and grand marble interior, served as the perfect backdrop for a styled shoot that blended elegance with playful charm. The Capitol's majestic columns and intricate details mirror those of the US State Capitol, making it a truly awe-inspiring venue for any wedding.
Walking into the Capitol, you’re immediately struck by the grandeur of the space. The high ceilings, sweeping staircases, and polished marble floors create an atmosphere of timeless elegance. But imagine transforming this stately setting into a personal, intimate celebration that feels just as magical as any large-scale wedding. That was our vision.
The theme centered around a garden, symbolizing growth, life, and natural beauty. We incorporated daisies and roses, which added a touch of whimsy and romance to the historic setting. The delicate petals and vibrant colors breathed life into the grand halls, creating a perfect blend of tradition and contemporary charm.
The bride, in a unique twist, wore a white dress adorned with colorful flowers stitched all over it, creating a look that was both traditional and delightfully unexpected. This dress, provided by Margene’s Bridal, perfectly captured the spirit of our ideal couple: laid back, fun, and unafraid to embrace adventure and creativity.
As she walked through the marble corridors, her dress flowing gracefully behind her, it felt as though the Capitol itself had come alive with her presence. To add a touch of vintage elegance and the perfect getaway moment, we rented a classic car.
